The following are just a few organizations working to eliominate homelessness through the development of affordable housing throughout the US:

HUD Site on Homelessness
A web site of programs to help the homeless, funded by the Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) and many other federal agencies.

National Low Income Housing Coalition
The National Low Income Housing Coalition is dedicated solely to ending America’s
affordable housing crisis, focusing on those with the most serious housing problems:P
the lowest income households.

The Urban Institute-Housing
The Urban Institute’s Housing web site has comprehensive research and publications
on issues related to poverty and discrimination: Federal Programs & Policies;
Homelessness Housing Markets & Choice; Racial Segregation; Section 8 Vouchers
& Mobility; Neighborhood Indicators.


The mission of the Presbyterian Network to End Homelessness (PNTEH) is to affirm,
challenge, educate, and empower local communities and churches in the struggle
to end homelessness.

Alliance to End Homelessness

The National Alliance to End Homelessness analyzes policy and develops pragmatic,
cost-effective policy solutions, leading to stronger programs and policies that
help communities achieve their goal of ending homelessness.

National Coalition for the Homeless
Publishes news and information about homelessness.

National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty
The NLCHP is an organization of lawyers working on a variety of homelessness
and poverty issues, from housing and domestic abuse to human rights and supporting
those affected by natural disasters.
